America's Providential History

I believe that God providentially brought the pressures of time and the yearnings of the human heart upon the shores of this great land, in order to create a place where the human soul could breath unfettered. This blog is a place to tell their forgotten story.

The Providencial View of History

I share a view of history with many of the founding fathers of the United States of America. I believe that God providentially brought the pressures of time and the yearnings of the human heart upon the shores of this great land, in order to create a place where the human soul could breath unfettered. This blog is a place to tell their forgotten story. By seeing the past clearly our souls have the hope of breathing free now and in the future.

I once thought history had no value because it only spoke of the past and what was no longer. My past had been hurtful and something I wanted to forget. Then I came to FBNM and learned of my forefathers and the spirit that inspired the birth of my country. My eyes were opened to hope and help in the Lord because it was His spirit that had inspired these men to pave the way for me to live freely. My Lord came to me and rescued me through his gift of salvation at the onset of a dark and lonely road. I surrendered my heart to Him. He inspired me to keep pursuing Him and the dreams he had given me, much like those I call my forefathers. At FBNM I met another man who taught me that these men were also my brothers. They were human but they also served my Lord as heirs to His throne. Through their work they sought to honor and glorify Him by establishing a country were a man or woman might bend a knee freely, not in worship to a monarch or god chosen for him, but to the maker of the heavens and earth. The man that taught me these things was my pastor. His outlook and wisdom for such things in the past showed me that the history of my country was my heritage and if embraced would enrich my life and give vision for the future as a citizen of my country and a Christian in a free world. I was embraced by my pastor and church at a time where I faced a fork in the road. Do I allow my past to swallow me up in evil and heartache or do I surrender now my life's path to the Lord. In response to the truth and honest love I was offered from the Lord, my pastor, and my church, as well as, the Godly heritage of which I was now aware, I took hold of the hope and help and began allowing my life to become a godly heritage to my children and generations to come. Another help that came to me was my new husband and his family. They emphasized all these things by teaching me about relationships and love. Much like my Lord and my forefathers they added to me an undeserved Godly heritage for my family to learn from and pass on to many more generations. I am thankful that the Lord has allowed me to be drawn closer to Him through all these influences. I am also very thankful to my pastor who opened my eyes and heart to the heritage and opportunity afforded to me by History and those who have gone before me. I pray God will offer this same man continued hope and inspiration as he faces a new road with many unknowns and much opportunity to continue building that Godly heritage that makes our country so great!
